colony. Growth originates from a stout central stem and spirals
out in a rosette-like arrangement.

Palau seems to be the only dive shop in Palau that guides tours
to this location. We discovered Sunken Bridge, named after
a bridge of coral that connects two points on the reef,
while looking for alternatives to Devilfish
City, where the manta sometimes don't show up. It's
actually a big hole that you drop down through and exits out
onto the wall. The site is
located to the north of Koror, on the outside of the reef close
to Devilfish City. Because the
site is rarely visited, it is in pristine condition, with a
full complement of marine life largel.
Sunken
Bridge has some particularly beautiful
table corals and, since it is rarely dived, the sharks there
tend to be more curious. Silver tips are spotted
at times and can give you quite a thrill. Turtles are
also often seen on this dive, as well as schooling trevally
and black snapper. Larger pelagics make regular appearances
in the deeper water off the wall. This is a nice optional
dive when visiting the northern part of
Palau. Flashlights are not necessary
for this dive.
