THE BIG EYE TUNA
A bigeye tuna weighing 159 pounds will produce an estimated 3.3 million eggs per year. The young are fast growing and weigh about 45 pounds when they first mature. They live 7 or 8 years. Only rarely are they seen on the surface, and then, only momentarily while feeding.

ADVANCED LEVEL ::  DRIFT DIVE / WALL DIVE
NudibranchThis dive rivals Big Dropoff for spectacular coral and fish.  Where it differs is that BIG fish can swim by any time on this dive.  There are white tip and black tip reef sharks in abundance, as well as bigger sharks like a hammerheads or silvertips.  A trip to Peleliu would not be complete without a dive on this spot.

Peleliu Wall, entirely covered with healthy, beautiful soft corals, is our favorite dive in the Peleliu area.  The current here is generally quite mild, particularly in comparison to nearby Peleliu Corner and Peleliu Express, making it an ideal dive for both the novice and experienced diver.

There is a wealth of subjects here for photographers, from small crustaceans and corals on the wall itself, to the larger sharks, big eye tuna, turtles and bluechine triggerfish that appear off the wall in deeper water.  The only problem you might have is in trying to decide which of the many subjects to shoot.
